Abdul Subkhan The path
I chose.

A laptop, a lot of questions, and a series of decisions that led me to search. This is the story behind the work.

Covid, a laptop, and everything I could teach myself

It started in 2020, during Covid, when all I had was a laptop and an urge to learn. I taught myself whatever I could get my hands on: coding, web development, cybersecurity, marketing, graphic design, video editing, sales and affiliate marketing. None of it came with a plan. I kept exploring, and each new skill made the next one easier to pick up.

That range is what I lean on now. A client's problem is rarely only an SEO problem: it can be a server rule quietly blocking an AI crawler, a site too slow to be read, copy that does not sell, or a page nobody would ever quote. Having done each of those jobs myself is why I can fix them instead of handing them off.

Chapter 02

Left university once I knew what I wanted

By the end of 2023 I knew what I wanted to do, and it was search, so I left university to do it full time. In a lower middle class family in Pakistan, leaving university is not a brave story you tell later. It is something you explain to everyone at the time, and I did not have a fallback, only the same laptop and a feeling that search was something I could get good at with enough hours.

Chapter 03

Two jobs, freelance nights, then a team to lead

So I put in the hours: two jobs, freelance work at night and a project of my own that taught me more by failing than any course would have. Over three years I went from taking any SEO work I could get to leading a team as Senior SEO Team Lead at Sparking Asia, a Top Rated Plus agency on Upwork.

Chapter 04

Handed the senior role back to bet on AI search

I left because buyers had stopped scrolling ten blue links and started asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity who to hire, and those engines answer with two or three names, so ranking eleventh now means you are not there at all.

My family did not love the idea, and I was not certain either, so I tested it on the only site I could afford to break, my own, then on clients willing to try, and the results kept coming until I stopped calling it an experiment.

CiteVantage LLC, registered in Wyoming

That is when I registered CiteVantage LLC in Wyoming, because clients kept coming back happy and I wanted the business to be as real and as checkable as the numbers I was putting in front of them.

Every client win still feels like one of my own, because there is one name on the invoice and it is mine.
